Lead Engineer - Corporate Contracts, 3-7 Years’ experience.
Job Profile
Shall be responsible for sourcing of engineered / large size engineering projects / MRO items / operation & maintenance service contracts within the given timelines / budgets.
Formulation of RFPs/NIT with requisite ITBs, commercial conditions of contract, documentation etc.
Review of techno-commercial specification including performance guarantees and SLA, create value propositions, demonstrate cost efficiencies, optimise timelines.
Interface with cross-functional teams to ensure placement of purchase orders / contracts within the project timelines and costs.
Negotiating contracts with business partners duly considering all aspects of contracts (technical, commercial, financial, legal, insurance, statutory, etc.).
Preparation of purchase orders, legal contracts in line with negotiated terms.
Providing post order support to projects / user teams.
Developing first principle / activity-based cost models, developing adequate toolkit for effective negotiations.
Cost benchmarking with reference to market price, internal past data etc.
Monthly MIS preparation and monthly procurement review meeting.
Candidate Profile
Candidate should possess a graduate degree preferably in mechanical or electrical or civil engineering.
Should have 3-7 years of experience in sourcing or contract management functions. Project site / plant O&M experience will be an added advantage.
Must have excellent negotiation & communication skills (written as well as oral) with ability to articulate thoughts, influence people.
Should have good interpersonal & timely decision-making skills and have the ability in dealing with ambiguities.
Should have sound working knowledge of MS Office applications (Word, Excel. PowerPoint, Project monitoring tool, etc). Knowledge of database / analytical systems shall be an added advantage.
Working knowledge in materials management module of ERP system (preferably SAP).
Working experience in Ariba or any other on-line procurement portal would be an added advantage.
