The position is based out of Mumbai and will be part of D&IT (Digitalization & Information Technology), tasked with improving the data science and AI/ML capabilities and delivery excellence that guides decision-making across Clusters (Generation, Renewables, Transmission & Distribution, NBS etc.) and Corporate Functions (Finance, HR etc.). We are seeking a skilled BW consultant to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for developing and designing BW data flow in 7.x and BW on Hana , supporting business teams through data pipeline creation & automation, adhering to best practices, creating reusable assets and guiding and mentoring BI users for self-service capabilities. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge and experience in BW solution development, solution design, and solution architecture.

You’ll spend time on the following:

Identification and activation of Business Data
Extraction of Data from various data sources
Handling Data loading issues and monitoring Process chains . Resolving Process chain issues and house keeping activities.
Handling incidents / service requests and change requests.
Involved in audit activities ( Release management and maintain documentary evidence
Creating Various Data Models for the purpose of Business Intelligence
Transportation of data and analytics from one environment to another.
Co-ordinate with business analysts while raising requirements from customers
Understanding and documenting the functional and technical requirements
Define and Manage BI deliverables
Formulate Key BI technical requirements
Do the as-is analysis of the data warehouse and create future model solutions
Design, Develop, testing and deployment experience for approved SAP BI technical solutions.
Maintain and correct applications to keep them performing in accordance with technical and functional specifications
Ability to apply analytical and creative skill in modelling.
Basic understanding of Webi and BO tools.
Migration activities from lower to higher version of BW on Hana ( BW 7.4 to 7.5)
Reporting tool - BEx Analyser & Query Designer
BW on Hana modelling ( ADSO / Open ODS / Views / DS / Transformations )
Stay current on emerging trends and technologies related to BW on Hana / BTP / Datasphere
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize business requirements and ensure alignment with business objectives
Design and Development of technical reports and dashboards to implement requirements in line with the business strategy.
Perform requirement analysis and effort estimations within the projects and implement your solutions in Design, code, test, debug, document.
Support all types of developments consistent with specifications and business requirements.
Must have skill in BI front-end tools like SAP Design Studio/Lumira and Java Script, CSS and debugging activities.
SAP BO Migration Experience is added advantage.
Should be Comfortable on working with back-end systems like SAP BW and HANA.
In-depth understanding on Agile / Scrum Project methodology and related process, Ability deliver the projects
Consulting / development / deployment experience in SAP BO (BI 4.0 and above) tools - Lumira 2.1 (Designer and Discovery), Design Studio.
Experience in knowledge of Admin activities like monitoring servers, User creation, Authorizations, promoting BO development objects from Dev to Prod.
Design, develop, configure, test and maintain SAP BO software solutions based on customer requirements, using development standards and software development life cycle process

We’re excited if you have:

Graduate with Engineering Degree (CS/Electronics/IT) / MCA / MCS + Masters in Business Analytics
7+ years of experience in BW/ BW on Hana solution development, solution design, and solution architecture
In-depth knowledge of BW and Bex query designer
Experience with data modeling, data integration, and data warehousing
Experience developing and maintaining ETL applications
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Knowledge of Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile development environments
